Vandana Shiva is an Indian scholar and environmental activist who advocates for sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and the rights of farmers. She has authored more than 20 books and founded the organization Navdanya to promote seed sovereignty and organic farming. Shiva has received numerous awards for her work, including the Right Livelihood Award (Alternative Nobel Prize) and the Sydney Peace Prize.
