Valerie Hobson was a British actress who appeared in over 45 films between 1935 and 1969. She is best known for her roles in "Great Expectations," "Kind Hearts and Coronets," and "Bride of Frankenstein." After retiring from acting in 1969, Hobson became involved in politics and served as a Conservative Party member of parliament from 1951 to 1955. She died in 1998 at the age of 81.
