Ross Bagdasarian (1919-1972) was an American actor, singer, songwriter, and voice actor. He created and voiced the characters of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore in the popular cartoon series "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and was also known for his song "Witch Doctor."
