Mia Hansen-Løve is a French director and screenwriter. She was born in Paris in 1981 and began her career in cinema as a teenager, working as an actor in films directed by her mother. She studied philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure before turning to directing in 2006 with her feature debut, 'Tout est pardonné'. Her films often explore themes of youth, love and loss, and have won critical acclaim at festivals around the world.
