Mel Gibson is an American actor, filmmaker, and producer. He rose to fame in the 1980s with his roles in "Mad Max" and "Lethal Weapon" movies, and later directed and produced the Oscar-winning "Braveheart." Despite controversy surrounding his personal life, including anti-Semitic comments, Gibson continues to act and direct in Hollywood.
