MC Ren, born Lorenzo Jerald Patterson, is a rapper and songwriter from Compton, California. He was one of the founding members of the iconic hip hop group N.W.A. After leaving the group in the early 1990s, he continued to release solo albums and collaborate with other artists in the industry.
