Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (1918-2008) was an Indian guru who developed the Transcendental Meditation technique and founded the Transcendental Meditation movement. He introduced meditation and spiritual practices to the Western world and gained popularity in the 1960s when he taught members of The Beatles. His teachings focused on enlightenment, inner peace, and global harmony.
