LaWanda Page was an American actress and comedian best known for her role as Aunt Esther in the television sitcom Sanford and Son. She started her career in show business as a stand-up comedian and worked with Redd Foxx before joining him on the popular sitcom, which aired from 1972 to 1977. Page continued acting in films and television shows throughout her career, which spanned over four decades. She passed away in 2002 at the age of 81.
