Kelly Reichardt is an American film director and screenwriter known for her minimalist approach to filmmaking and exploration of rural life and marginalized characters. She started her career making experimental shorts before directing her first feature film, River of Grass, in 1994. Her most acclaimed works include Wendy and Lucy, Meek's Cutoff, Certain Women, and First Cow.
