Janet MacLachlan was an American actress best known for her roles in films like The Great White Hope and Sounder. She was also a civil rights activist and a founding member of the Negro Ensemble Company. Her career spanned over four decades and she worked in film, television, and theater. MacLachlan passed away in 2010 at the age of 77.
