James Stephens (1882-1950) was an Irish novelist and poet who played a significant role in the Irish literary revival. His most famous work is "The Crock of Gold," a fantasy novel that explores Irish mythology and folklore. Stephens also wrote many plays, essays, and short stories, and was a prominent member of the Abbey Theatre.
