Hunter S. Thompson was an American journalist and author known for his unconventional writing style and fearless approach to journalism. He is best known for his book "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and his coverage of the 1972 U.S. presidential campaign. Thompson died in 2005 at the age of 67.
