Harry Carey was one of the early stars of American silent film. He appeared in over 200 films in a career that spanned 25 years. He was known for his rugged, western roles and was often cast opposite fellow cowboys like Hoot Gibson and Tom Mix. He was also the father of fellow actor Harry Carey Jr.
