Edd Byrnes, who died on January 8, 2020 aged 87, was an American actor best known for his role as Gerald Lloyd "Kookie" Kookson III in the ABC television series 77 Sunset Strip. He was also known for his role as Vince Fontaine in the hit musical film Grease.
