Ed Bishop was a prolific American actor, best known for his work in British television and film in the 1960s and 1970s. He was often cast as an American character and had a distinctive deep voice. Some of his most notable roles include Commander Straker in the TV series "UFO" and Captain Blue in "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons." Bishop passed away in 2005 at the age of 72.
