David Ferry
David Ferry (1924-2018) was an American poet, translator, and academic. He won numerous awards for his translations of classical literature, including Virgil's Aeneid and Horace's Odes. His own poetry explored themes of memory, history, and mortality. He taught at Wellesley College and Boston University.
