Daniel Beaty is an American actor, singer, writer, and activist known for his solo plays and spoken word performances. He has won numerous awards for his work, including a 2007 Obie Award for his play "Emergence-SEE!" and a 2010 NAACP Theatre Award for "Through the Night." Beaty has also performed on Broadway in "The Tallest Tree in the Forest" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
