Constance Collier was a British stage and film actress who appeared in over 60 films, including Alfred Hitchcock's "Rope" and "Stage Fright." She was known for her distinctive voice and commanding stage presence, and was also a successful writer, drama teacher, and theatre director. She died in 1955 at the age of 75.
