Clarence Muse was an American actor, screenwriter, director, and composer. He was the first African American filmmaker to make a production deal with a major Hollywood studio. His acting career spanned over 60 years, and he appeared in over 150 films, including "Shadow of a Doubt" and "The Black Stallion." He was also an advocate for civil rights and social justice.
