Chet Baker was a jazz trumpeter and singer who gained prominence in the 1950s and 1960s. He was known for his cool and lyrical style of playing and his signature soft and mellow singing voice. However, his life was marked by drug addiction and personal troubles, and he died tragically in 1988 after falling from a hotel window in Amsterdam.
