Bela Lugosi was a Hungarian-American actor, best known for his portrayal of Dracula in the 1931 film of the same name. He starred in many horror films throughout the 1930s and 1940s and his distinctive accent and commanding presence made him an icon of the genre. Lugosi struggled with drug addiction later in life and died in 1956.
