Audie Murphy

Audie Murphy was an American soldier, actor, and songwriter who is considered to be one of the most decorated American combat soldiers of World War II. He went on to have a successful career in Hollywood, starring in 44 films and earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards in 1955. Murphy died in a plane crash in 1971 at the age of 46.
