Asao Uchida was a Japanese-American civil rights activist and community organizer. He co-founded the Japanese American Citizens League and fought for the rights of Japanese Americans during World War II, particularly during their internment in concentration camps. He continued to advocate for civil rights and social justice throughout his life.
