Ann Sothern was an American actress who appeared in over 100 films and television shows throughout her career. She was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in "The Whales of August" and won a Golden Globe for her role in the TV series "Private Secretary." Sothern also starred in her own radio show and Broadway productions.
