Aline MacMahon was an American actress who had a lengthy career on stage, film, and television. She appeared in over 70 films between 1931 and 1969, working with directors such as Frank Capra and George Cukor. She was also a notable stage performer, earning a Tony award nomination for her role in The Devils in 1965.
